About us

We’re Teri Olins and Steph Jones, the faces behind Ops&Ops. Our journey began in London’s underground rock’n’roll clubs, where we danced till dawn and dreamed of the perfect shoe. It was at a friend’s birthday bash that the dream became real and we decided to make our own.

CROSSING PATHS

Teri is from Indiana in America’s midwest and Steph from Liverpool in England’s northwest, long-time friends united in their love of great shoes and 1960s culture. We spent years travelling, playing in bands, running clubs, working in vintage stores and curating projects before settling in London where they both became journalists. Then we met.

DESIGNED IN LONDON

We launched Ops&Ops in November 2014 with a clear vision to create footwear that can transition smoothly from day to night, work to play and can be worn straight out of the box. Footwear of the highest quality, inspired by our love of all things 60s, but infinitely modern, playful, grown-up and timeless.

HANDMADE IN PORTUGAL

Our shoes are handcrafted in a small factory in northern Portugal. We use only the best leathers and quality fabrics, sourced in Italy and Spain from companies that are REACH regulation compliant and certified by the Leather Working Group.

We cater to all women who appreciate quality and comfort. Those who are looking for wardrobe staples and those who aren’t afraid to make a statement. Our customers are fashion forward, lovers of mod style, librarians, teachers, students, musicians, actors, artists, doctors, business owners, girls about town and full-time mums. They simply love the distinctive yet effortless look of our footwear.

We’ve come a long way since we started, but our values and commitment to quality and design remain. We loved having a shop on Redchurch Street in London, until the pandemic shook things up, but today you can find us in our Camden Town studio, where we welcome customers to drop by and try – or simply just to say hello.
