Port Eliot has long been one of our favourite festivals. Held at the end of July on a country estate in St Germans, Cornwall, its idyllic setting plays host to music, talks, fashion, celeb-chef demos, workshops and more. Together it makes for an out-of-the-ordinary, slightly off-beat weekender.
And we are super excited that we have been invited to take part this year!
We will be appearing under the Fashion Foundation umbrella alongside huge names such as Zandra Rhodes, Alice Temperley and Preen. Plus Dave Hill will be talking Slade style!
On Friday afternoon in Port Eliot’s beautiful Walled Garden we are doing a dance workshop. We’ll be taking festival goers through classic dance steps of the 1960s, such as the Mashed Potato and Watusi, and showing just what Ops&Ops footwear was made for.
The dancing will be followed by a talk with our pal and Port Eliot regular Dominic Lutyens. We’ll natter about our inspiration – fashion, film, music, art and architecture of the 60s – and how all of it continues to fascinate the public and influence what we all wear – and design – today.
We’ll then be joining in the rest of the fun as regular punters for the remainder of the weekend. Why don’t you join us?
